Over these last few years, Manchester’s Shape Of Water have been quick to establish themselves as one of the more innovative names on the rise. And with plenty of praise for their run of releases recently, they are continuing that upward ascent with their anthemic rendition of The Weeknd’s timeless hit ‘Blinding Lights’.

Adding a raw and explosive guitar-driven energy into their version, this take on ‘Blinding Lights’ makes for an incredibly bold and enjoyable listen. Swapping out glossy production for a grittier and more eruptive production as it plays, they are certainly looking to get our fists pumping with this one.

Adding about the track, they said, “Our cover of Blinding Lights by The Weeknd represents our admiration for a song with an incredibly modern and captivating sound. We felt it aligned seamlessly with the direction of our new music, making it a natural choice to reinterpret through the lens of Shape Of Water.”

While plenty has already been said about their progressive endeavours of late, ‘Blinding Lights’ certainly stands as one of their more impactful offerings yet. Brimming with such ingenuity and invention as it plays, we can’t wait to hear what else they have planned for the months ahead as well.
