Dublin-based indie-pop newcomer Lex Bucha makes a bold entrance with his debut EP ‘Painless Mode’, out now. A deeply personal and genre-bending collection, the EP finds Lex confronting anxiety, broken relationships, and the messy search for inner peace.

“Painless Mode is me finally putting my fears and pain into words and music,” Lex shares. “I hope that by sharing my truth, others won’t feel so alone in theirs.”

Blending influences from HONNE to Troye Sivan, the five-track project refuses to sit still, jumping between chilled pop textures, euphoric synths, and melancholic grooves.

Focus track ‘Back & Forth’, produced by Jameson (James Sayer), lands alongside the EP. It’s a bright, danceable depiction of anxiety attacks; pairing catchy beats with raw, vulnerable lyrics. “I love how it combines uplifting energy with real melancholy,” Lex explains. “It’s my way of showing what anxiety feels like while keeping it hopeful.”

Already supported by BBC Introducing, TodayFM, and SPIN, Lex Bucha’s ‘Painless Mode’ is a striking, honest debut that promises to resonate far beyond Dublin.
