Can you tell us a bit about your background and how you got started in music?
I started in music at church. I learned how to play guitar in 2nd grade and then took private lessons. I always knew I wanted to write my own songs so I challenged myself when I was around 12 to write a song every other day. Since then I’ve never let it go.
Who are your biggest musical influences and how have they shaped your sound?
I have a lot of influences when it comes to music. They’re all really different too. From Romeo Santos to the Grateful Dead, I’ve let a lot of different artists teach me their music. Aside from them I’ve been listening to a lot of “The Strokes”, Rauw Alejandro, and Chris Brown recently lol.
Was there a specific moment or experience that made you decide to pursue music seriously?
Honestly not really, I’ve been making music since I can remember. It’s something that’s a part of me like breathing is to other people. I can’t really be myself without it.
Can you walk us through your typical songwriting process?
When I go to write a song I like being in a semi quiet room. I’ve told many people this but I like to be at a bar or I park my car in a semi busy street where cars will pass every 5-10 minutes. This helps with any blockage that could happen in my head. I can’t be in a fully quiet room or I’ll over think. I also can’t be in a loud room or I can’t hear my thoughts so I like to find a medium between.
How do you find inspiration for your music and lyrics?
I like to write about things I’m going through. But if everything in my life feels too plain at the time, I’ll just analyze other people’s lives like my friends and family and write about what they may be feeling. Cause that’s what music is about, connecting with others.
What themes or messages do you hope listeners take away from your music?
Honestly all my songs are different so there’s a lot of different messages, but I’d say I’d like them to spread love and dance. Connect with each other regardless of any language barrier.
What challenges have you faced as an emerging artist in the music industry?
I’ve been doing this for a while and I guess the hardest thing is challenging myself to be better than I am now. There’s always room to improve regardless of how talented you may seem.
What has been the most rewarding aspect of your musical journey so far?
Connecting with others. Music has allowed me to meet some incredible people that don’t only do music but are in different arts as well.
How do you stay true to yourself and your artistry in a constantly evolving industry?
Before I start a song I ask myself; “what/who am I doing this for?” And the answer is: My younger self. Looking back I think my younger self would be very proud of where I’ve come in my writing.
What can fans expect from you in the near future? Any upcoming projects or tours?
I’m working on a new release this April 2026! Some Gig dates will also be announced in the next couple months.
Where do you see yourself and your music career in the next five years?
In the next five years I want the world to know I’m not going anywhere. Like I said, I’ve been doing this for a while and nothing is going to stop me.
