Kenny Wayne Shepherd has announced a 30th anniversary re-recording of his debut album ‘Ledbetter Heights’, due for release on the 8th May, alongside the new single ‘Deja Voodoo’.
The album, originally released in the 90s, played a key role in Shepherd’s early success and helped bring blues-rock back into mainstream attention. The new recording revisits the original material with updated arrangements shaped by the guitarist’s extensive career.
Joining Shepherd on the project is longtime collaborator Chris “Whipper” Layton, while production duties were shared with Jerry Harrison. The sessions also saw Shepherd return to his original guitar rig, reconnecting the new recordings with the sound of the original release.
The anniversary album arrives as part of Shepherd’s ongoing tour celebrating the record’s legacy.
