Almost Alive comes roaring back with ‘Moon Come Down’, an ambitious new single that launches the road towards forthcoming album Headwinds in suitably colossal fashion.
The new single sees creator Evan Kanter dive headfirst into the muscular world of post-grunge and alternative rock. With a towering intensity looming large, the track delivers thick guitars, dramatic dynamics and a brooding cinematic scale that feels built for maximum impact.
Remarkably, the idea began visually. Inspired partly by the surrealism of Soundgarden’s ‘Black Hole Sun’, Kanter imagined the moon descending towards Earth and constructed the music around that apocalyptic image.
That concept explodes into life through Almost Alive’s first fully realised AI-assisted music video. He spent weeks combining different technologies with extensive hands-on editing, individually shaping and assembling its sequences into one expansive visual narrative. It also marks the first time he has stepped forward as the project’s recognisable frontman, appearing through an AI recreation of himself.
Having already surpassed one million streams across an increasingly adventurous catalogue, Almost Alive now sounds ready for another major evolution. The first of four planned singles from Headwinds, ‘Moon Come Down’ is a thunderous opening statement for what could be the project’s biggest chapter yet.
