Massachusetts singer-songwriter Jason Myles Goss, currently making music out of New York City, is back with single ‘Misfit’, the title track from last year’s much loved and long awaited EP. Having already attracted millions of streams on Spotify and critical acclaim, Myles Goss has built an international following through earnest, honest and independent work.

‘Misfit’ is an incredibly moving track, with Myles Goss’s signature emotive lyrics and acoustic guitar he creates an amazingly poignant soundscape. It’s an atmospheric piece that skillfully cuts with its emotional rawness and is touchingly heartfelt. As the song continues and builds, the layered vocals add a yearning and longing, and we feel the connection between “one misfit to another misfit”.

Along with the single, Myles Goss has shared a video to support the release. Directed by Kyle Dunleavy, we follow a young woman wandering through the streets of Chicago. We see messages back and forth between herself and her father, and while she is walking alone, and we see her forlorn and possibly lost, she is continually comforted and supported by her fathers distant presence. This tender visual and sentiment pairs beautifully with the music and leaves a long lasting impression.

Jason Myles Goss’s hiatus saw him enter fatherhood and go through the pandemic from the centre of New York City. With this EP and now single release, we look forward to more musings and creations from this accomplished and experienced artist.
