Alt-rock outfit Lost Velvet have returned with “Dark Cells,” their latest single released via distributor Forbury Lion. The track marks a heavier sonic direction ahead of the duo’s debut album.

Written and produced by Robert Butcher and Melissa Morris, the single blends swirling vocals with layered guitars and atmospheric rhythms. The song was mixed by Michael Patterson and mastered by Maor Appelbaum, lending a polished yet expansive feel to the recording.

“Dark Cells” explores themes of clarity and emotional awakening, serving as a strong introduction to the band’s upcoming album, currently being finalized for release in 2026.

Lost Velvet have previously gained support from BBC Introducing and continue to establish their place within the UK alternative rock scene.
