Having already made their mark as one of the more exciting names doing the rounds right now, US punk band Dead Tooth are now back for 2024 to deliver their explosive new single ‘Birthday Boohoo’.
Produced by Tom Beaujour (Nada Surf, Pom Pom Squad, Juliana Hatfield) with a remix by A Place To Bury Strangers vocalist Oliver Ackermann as the B-Side, ‘Birthday Boohoo’ continues that raw and adventurous approach they have garnered to date. Arriving as a 7” vinyl to boot, the band are certainly looking to return with a bang on this one.
Speaking about the new offering, they said, “This is our most collaborative piece of music to date. It kind of feels like something we molded out of clay together; each one of our hands shaping it in some way. To have a song so representational of the group being put out on this really unique & beautiful vinyl feels very special. The song itself couldn’t be more a Frankenstein level horror unless of course you gave it to someone like Ollie from A Place to Bury Strangers to really chop and screw. Happy Halloween”.
Dead Tooth have also announced an extensive European tour which takes in three UK dates in November on 15th at the London’s Shacklewell Arms, 16th in Manchester at Big Hands and 17th at Nottingham’s Saltbox.
Adding about the tour, “We’ve always felt like we’d fit right into the UK. Mostly in respects to the outpouring of sick music coming from there but also the general dental condition of the public resonates strongly with us. Cheers mates! We’ll see ya bloody soon”
