Kildare-born artist Elle León Gallagher has now released her second album ‘A Chara’ via Catalan indie label El Jardí Amagat. The follow-up to her acclaimed single ‘Music & Memories’, the record expands her signature blend of indie-folk and soulful storytelling with rich emotional insight and a deep sense of warmth.

Taking its name from the Irish phrase for “dear friend”, ‘A Chara’ was recorded across homes, rehearsal rooms, and live sessions in Barcelona; preserving the organic spirit of collaboration that shaped the project. Co-produced with Guille Harrison, the album explores the fluid lines between friendship, selfhood, and loss, framed by Gallagher’s vivid lyricism and evocative melodies.

Focus track ‘Going Places!’ captures the bittersweet humour and confusion that often follows a breakup, blending irony with sincerity to reflect the contradictions of self-discovery. Gallagher’s voice floats across woozy indie-soul arrangements with quiet intensity.

With growing praise from both Irish and Spanish press, and recent live dates alongside La Luz, Say She She, Divorce, and Brian Kennedy, Gallagher continues to build a reputation as a quietly arresting force in modern indie. ‘A Chara’ will be launched with a special hometown show in Barcelona on the 29th November, offering a communal celebration of an album rooted in care, closeness, and catharsis.
