TESLA guitarist Frank Hannon offers a striking change of pace with his new solo single “One More Time”, a warm, unfiltered instrumental that strips everything back to the bare essentials. Marking the first track from his upcoming album Reflections (out September 12), the song trades arena-ready riffs for hushed slide guitar melodies and open-air intimacy.
Recorded entirely on a phone with a single mic, “One More Time” feels less like a studio production and more like a personal journal entry; sparse, meditative, and quietly emotional. Inspired by old friends, personal loss, and the healing power of solitude, Hannon’s playing moves slowly and deliberately, capturing the kind of wide-open stillness that recalls the American West.
“There’s no big production here,” Hannon says. “Just a guitar, a mic, and the sound of real emotion in a quiet room.”
The track carries a strong emotional undercurrent, enhanced by Hannon’s use of a vintage Gibson SG that once belonged to Dickey Betts. There’s a lyrical quality to the slide work, full of bends and sighs that echo the blues without falling into cliché, it’s storytelling without words, and it lingers long after the last note fades.
