Following the release of his introspective debut single Empathy Primates, Irish musician JP O’Duill has unveiled his first full-length solo album Nótaí. Blending folk, punk, and avant-pop, the record explores the quirks and quiet tragedies of the human condition with a curious, compassionate lens.
Rooted in rich storytelling and melodic experimentation, Nótaí is as reflective as it is inventive, touching on love, loss, hope, and self-doubt with lyrical warmth and irony. The album features contributions from an eclectic cast, including Tim Doyle (concertina), Dylan Lynch (drums), Adam O’Regan (synth), and Angus MacAmhlaigh (cello), with O’Duill co-producing across sessions in Dublin’s Darklands Audio and Sonic Studios.
Unfolding like a collection of poetic sketches, Nótaí invites us into a world where philosophical musings meet grounded observation, offering a quietly profound experience.
