Following on from her much-loved 2023 LP ‘Always You’, Malaysian artist Lyia Meta has returned to the fold once again to deliver her eagerly-awaited new studio album ‘Next’.
Featuring the previously shared gems ‘All My Loving’, ‘Home To You’ and ‘Easier And Easier’, this new seven-track collection makes for a wonderfully warm and shimmering listen. With her spellbinding vocals spread across a sweeping jazz and soul-inspired production throughout, ‘Next’ continues her ascent as one of the more captivating artists doing the rounds right now.
Speaking about the new release, she said, “As I look back on my past work, I realize that my music has always reflected who I am. It’s a mirror that reveals my experiences, my emotions, my aspirations. With each new song, I’ve sought to capture the essence of my being and share it with the world.”
While these last few years have certainly been a busy and prolific time for her, ‘Next’ still manages to leave a lasting impression on her ever-evolving catalogue to date. With such a firm and focused approach to her sound once again, she is definitely one to keep a firm eye on for the months ahead as well.
