Throughout his sprawling career to date, Nashville’s CS Hellmann has always looked to conjure a more emotive direction than many of his peers. Largely occupying the woozy indie-rock realm over the years, he has always been able to inject this wondrous approach to production within everything he creates, delivering something truly spellbinding every single time. And after continuing his upward ascent with his recent outing ‘In A World Gone Wrong’, he is back to his best once again with the riveting new single ‘Something Simple’.

Marking his second piece of new material since last year’s ‘The Fear I Felt’ EP, ‘Something Simple’ sees him returning with more of that warm allure he is known for. Coupling his breathtaking vocals with this incredibly rich atmosphere at every turn, he continues to shine as one of the more captivating names doing the rounds right now.

Working alongside producer Jared Corder (*repeat repeat) and recorded at Polychome Ranch, CS Hellmann finds himself in a beautifully wistful guise here. Continuing that same vibrancy he got to hear on ‘In A World Gone Wrong’, he is returning with one of his most enjoyable efforts to date.

These last few years have certainly been a great time to develop and evolve his sound, and ‘Something Simple’ fits perfectly into that shimmering ideal he has been exploring. Moving with this soft and subtle elegance throughout, he is definitely someone we need to pay closer attention to as the months move along.
