Brooklyn-based electronic artist and producer Wavewulf returns with ‘Unbreakable Soul’, a compelling exploration of human resilience and emotional transformation. This 16-track album, including four remixes, stands as Wavewulf’s most profound and intricately crafted work to date. Steeped in a mysterious, synth-driven atmosphere, the album reflects both personal and universal struggles, presenting a sonic narrative of endurance and the unyielding strength of the human spirit.

At its core, ‘Unbreakable Soul’ dives deep into the complexities of life- its pain, growth, and triumphs. Inspired by Wavewulf’s own experiences of loss, including the passing of close family members, the album is a meditation on sorrow and renewal. Collaborating with fellow artist Nala Spark, who has also faced recent personal grief, Wavewulf weaves together their shared reflections to create a body of work that is both intimate and expansive.

Tracks on ‘Unbreakable Soul’ shift between moments of darkness and light, offering an emotional balance that mirrors the turbulence of modern existence. From the contrast of heavily electronically focused ‘The Journey’ into rock, guitar-riff laden track ‘Echo in the Dark’. As the world grapples with rapid technological changes and societal upheavals, Wavewulf’s music channels these anxieties, while also seeking to uplift and inspire. The rich soundscapes- layered with analog synths and intricate rhythms- carry the listener through a journey of philosophical musings and spiritual inquiry.

Nicholas Long, the mastermind behind Wavewulf, has been cultivating his musical craft since his teenage years, initially inspired by a Depeche Mode concert. His deep love for synthesisers, coupled with an academic interest in Kraftwerk and German pop music, has shaped his distinctive sound. Since founding Wavewulf in 2017, Long has poured personal grief and life experiences into his music, using it as a vehicle to explore existential questions and the emotional aftermath of loss.

From his debut album ‘Oscillation’ to the critically praised ‘The North and the Sea’, Wavewulf has continued to evolve, and ‘Unbreakable Soul’ marks another step forward. Drawing from the influences of electronic pioneers like Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, and Steve Reich, this album merges ambient, new wave, and kosmische elements to create something both timeless and timely.

With ‘Unbreakable Soul’, Wavewulf reminds us of the power of music to not only process deep emotions but to offer hope and clarity amidst life’s trials.
