A!MS’ Global Street concept depends on movement. It reflects the path of an artist shaped by British music culture who chose to develop much of his independent career from Cyprus, creating connections among London, Ayia Napa, the Caribbean, the United States, and Europe. His new “Don’t Die” video featuring Dappy gives that approach another focal point.
The track brings melodic rap and dancehall into a shared framework, with the refrain “the real don’t die” providing its central statement. Its combination of British and Caribbean reference points fits naturally into a sound that A!MS describes through geography and cultural exchange rather than a fixed genre boundary.
Dappy’s participation reinforces the song’s UK foundation. His verse concentrates on loyalty, recalling the difference between those who appear after success and those who remained present during difficult periods. That perspective leads directly into the recurring claim that genuine bonds can outlast changing circumstances.
A!MS’ relationship with Ayia Napa provides the track with a distinct history. In 2015, Chris Brown painted a mural containing the words “Don’t Die” inside Club Black N’ White, the venue operated by A!MS’ family. A!MS rediscovered the mural years later, after his collaboration with Dappy had already been completed, and used the unexpected connection as the foundation for the single artwork.
That story also illustrates how A!MS’ work crosses between recorded music, venues, and live events. Alongside his releases through 3fifty7 Music Ltd, he remains closely involved with The Wave Festival at WaterWorld WaterPark in Ayia Napa. His roles as an artist, host, and organizer place Global Street in a physical setting where musicians and audiences from different scenes can meet.
“Don’t Die” will appear on Peak Season – Deluxe, which expands the original nine-song album to 13 tracks. The 2025 edition featured Julian Marley, ArrDee, Ramz, Blanco, ZieZie, Liilz, Alika, Antaeus, Michelin Shin, and others. The new material adds appearances from Dappy, Vanessa Bling, Tugga War, Cool & Dre, and Ivorian Doll.
