With their latest release ‘I Hurt Myself Again’, 2ŁØT take a more restrained and introspective direction ahead of their forthcoming album RE/SOLVE.

The song unfolds patiently through sparse instrumentation, layered electronic textures, and a steady rhythmic pulse. Instead of chasing a dramatic payoff, the band allow the tension to remain unresolved, creating a reflective atmosphere throughout.

Originally developed during a 2025 writing retreat at Matt Sorum’s studio in Palm Springs, the track began as a simple looping progression created by bassist Robert Trusko. That skeletal structure remains at the heart of the final arrangement, giving the song a hypnotic and repetitive quality.

Additional performances from Cameron McCloud and Elise Trouw expand the emotional scope of the track without disrupting its understated approach. Their vocal contributions feel integrated into the song’s reflective mood rather than positioned as standout features.

The production also incorporates orchestral arrangements by Kyle Gordon and the Budapest Symphony Orchestra, adding depth and cinematic scale while preserving the intimacy of the songwriting.

‘I Hurt Myself Again’ continues to shape the identity of RE/SOLVE, which appears to favour emotional nuance and atmosphere over immediacy. Compared to earlier material, the band’s evolving sound feels more focused and cohesive.

As the rollout for the album continues, the new single offers another glimpse into 2ŁØT’s increasingly refined creative direction.
