Greet The Chief storms back into action with ‘Same Planet, Different Worlds’, a fierce and electrifying new EP that sees Gavin Davies delivering some of his most explosive work yet.

Bursting with snarling riffs, huge choruses and restless punk energy, the six-track release throws itself headfirst into the space between indie-rock swagger and full-throttle alternative chaos. From the opening punch of ‘Back For More’ to the soaring hooks and brass-fuelled momentum of ‘Fire Water’, the EP refuses to stand still, constantly shifting between aggression, melody and raw emotional release.

Known for crafting gritty, no-nonsense indie sleaze anthems, Davies pushes the Greet The Chief project into bolder territory here, embracing louder guitars, sharper dynamics and a bigger sense of ambition throughout. Tracks like ‘Up To The Light’ inject unexpected textures and rhythmic twists into the mix, proving the project continues to evolve without losing its rebellious core.

Produced, mixed and mastered alongside longtime collaborator Dave Oliffe at Giant Audio in Derbyshire, ‘Same Planet, Different Worlds’ captures the energy of an artist fully locked into his vision. With its fearless attitude and explosive songwriting, the EP feels like a huge statement from one of the UK underground’s most uncompromising alternative voices.
