Emerging German artist Welcome To Future introduces his latest single,‘P!T (Punk ist tot)’, a release that reflects on the place of rock and punk music in a new generation while encouraging listeners to engage with the issues shaping modern life.
Built around driving guitars, punchy rhythms and anthemic choruses, the track combines elements of classic punk with contemporary alternative rock. Influenced by artists including Green Day, Måneskin, Yungblud and Kraftklub, the song explores themes of frustration, political uncertainty and social disconnection, while suggesting that guitar music can still provide a platform for expression and change.
The single arrives ahead of Welcome To Future’s debut EP, ‘Grenzen’, which will continue to examine topics such as identity, division and climate anxiety. The Hamburg-based musician first attracted attention through an appearance on The Voice, where he brought a punk-inspired performance to a mainstream television audience, and has since been working alongside producer Peter Hoffmann on his debut material.
With ‘P!T (Punk ist tot)’, Welcome To Future offers a thoughtful introduction to his artistic vision, presenting a modern take on punk that looks beyond nostalgia and towards the concerns of today’s younger generation.
