And on his new single ‘Imperfect’, New Jersey artist Tony Lio pushes back against that pressure with a loud, guitar-driven celebration of individuality, turning perceived flaws into signs of character rather than reasons for shame.
This new single continues his blend of alternative rock, indie and grunge while pushing the weight and scale of his music further. The intention is clear from the outset: this is not a quiet reassurance whispered from the sidelines, but a forceful response to a culture increasingly capable of treating even minor differences as defects in need of correction.
The artist’s frustration feels especially relevant in an era shaped by carefully edited online identities, shifting beauty standards and relentless public comparison.
